100% silk dupion skirt by Next Collection, made in India, dating from the early to mid-1990s. Full silhouette with fine pleating at the waistband and covered button fastening over an open pocket. The fabric has the characteristic irregular slubs and low sheen of hand-woven dupion — a textile rarely used in contemporary high-street manufacturing.
Rich gold tone with olive and bronze undertones. The hem has been neatly shortened by hand, preserving the drape and movement of the original cut.
