Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where do you find the items you sell?

Mostly second-hand platforms, sometimes private sellers, and now and then someone’s mum’s. I look for quality from the 1990s and 2000s—brands like Rützou, Ghost, Jesiré, Planet, and others that once made things meant to last. Not everything makes it through.

  • Do you accept returns?

If I’ve made a serious error in the listing, please contact me and I’ll do everything I can to put it right, including a return. I don’t offer returns for change of mind: I try to list clearly and measure carefully so you can decide with confidence. These aren’t mass-produced items, and I’m just one person. If you're unsure, it’s fine to let something pass.

  • Are all the clothes vintage?

It depends what you mean. The time-frame I’m operating in is 1900 to 2010, with the occasional outlier – it's more about the label, the item and the quality than about ‘is it strictly vintage?’ Most items are 15–30 years old; some of them worn, some of them new with tags.

  • What does “mended” mean?

It means a little hole, a pulled thread, a chip in a heel—something that needed a bit of attention. The repair is always small and always brought to your attention.

  • Do you offer discounts?

Yes, but I don’t take offers. There are regular codes, a permanent £5 Shop, and a Sale Rail that changes often. I don’t do hype. Just permission, now and then, to buy the thing you couldn’t quite justify last week.
